Here’s the big change – we are fostering a new greyhound! Dexter (formerly known as Mister) had been at the kennels waiting for a home since October! We had to buy a big new minivan to have space for both of the dogs, too! Dexter’s racing name was RJ’s Mad Waad and he had an OK career. I’m not sure if he was retired because he just wasn’t winning anymore, or because he broke a toe (which has since been amputated). We had a long drive to pick him up and bring him home, but now he’s all snuggled in on the dog bed after a nice shower. (He smelled like a sheep! I almost thought that was cool!)

I was looking for other people who had knitted that PiS cardigan and came across your blog, and then was delighted to see that you also have retired greyhounds! I have three. If you’re ever interested in their history, check out this site: http://www.greyhound-data.com/index.htm?z=XFwCkb It tells you their pedigree, racing history, and some other information, all through the tattoo in their ear. We discovered that all of our dogs are cousins, which was pretty cool!
